The last time i wrote we had just arrived in hoi an. After that we stayed there for another 4 days, during which we explored the lovely citycentre, all the amazing tailor made clothing shops and enjoyed the peace of the no cars allowed centre. For one day we also went to visit the My Son temples by motorbike. It took us about 2 hours to get there and the scenery on the way was so beautyful :) when we finally got to the temples the rainy season showed its face again and it started to pour quite badly, but still the temples were worth seeing, they were kind off resembling the temples in angkor watt but less touristy and way smaller. After a motorbike ride back through the rain we went to the city centre as usual to enjoy another lovely meal. In hoi an we also went to the beach to have a relaxing afternoon, the beaches here are so much better than they were in Nha trang, but because of the salty water it was nice to be able to jump in the swimming pool of the hostel after a nice day at the beach. The night life in hoi an was the best we have had so far! We enjoyed some lovely nights in the infinity bar and the backpackers club. At one point we unfortunately had to leave hoi an to go to hanoi. We first decided to stay in hanoi for one day to explore the city. Hanoi is one of those truly asian cities whith lots of motorbikes and unbelievably busy traffic. Luckily i was able to get my phone fixed here and we went to see the turtle temple and after that the women museum. Here we were so lucky to run into a local market which was really much fun. The women museum was very interesting as we got to know a lot more about the rituals and standards of the lives of the traditional tribes in vietnam. So girls imagine getting married at the age of 15 or imagine running your own part of the army at the age of 16. After having stayed in hanoi for one day we went on the castaways tour to Halong bay. Here we stayed 2nights, the first night at the boat and a second night at a small island. During the trip we got to enjoy some kayacking, speedboating thingies and a lot of swimming and sightseeing next to the cruise tour. At night at the island we got the chance to swim whith plankton, which made the water light up at the places you moved and we had a massive beachparty. Those 3 days flew by and before we knew it we were back in hanoi. Luckily we already booked a tour to Mai Chau that would leave the next morning.after another nice night out and a visit to the lighthouse we had to leave at 7.30 for Mai Chau, after 10 minutes the bus had a flat tire and we had to wait for half an hour before our trip could be continued. `Luckily' we had a crazy driver and we made up the time driving and speeding crazily we lost when fixing the minivan. So quite on time we arrived at our destination and after having checked where we were sleeping (major sleepover) we left for a bycicle ride through the rice fields. The view was amazing on the road. The next day a motorbiking tour was planned so we had some biking lessons that night and an amazing dinner:) the next day we left for the tour at about 9 and we drove for about 80 km that day and visited a bamboo factory and a big cave, we had soooo much fun on the road:) that night we were so lucky that it was the birthday of one of the dutch boys at the trip and the hostel had arranged a group of local thai dancers which was a great surprise. Our guide from the motorbike tour was one of the dancers and we got to taste a crazy local rice wine, soooo nice and such a great experience:) The next day we went motorbiking again, and after a bumpy ride we arrived at our destination, a big lake at which we got to enjoy a nice boattrip and a swim. Unfortunately, after driving back we had to leave for hanoi again and that night we went out into the city whith our dutsch family we created on the mai chau tour. The next day we took the plane from vietnam to luang prabang in laos and that is our current destination. We had a bless in vietnam and I am curious about what laos will bring! #OnlyInAsia
